FDA's New Era of Smarter Food Safety Blueprint is making inroads

One year ago the U.S. Food and Drug Administration released the New Era of Smarter Food Safety Blueprint. During the past 12 months, they have made significant progress in working toward the goals outlined in the blueprint, even in the midst of a pandemic.

  • As with many other food safety initiatives that have been driven by the FDA, the New Era of Smarter Food Safety is proving to be "flavor of the month". The blueprint is starting to take shape with the publication of the FSMA-mandated proposed food traceability Rule which requires additional record keeping. The Leafy Green Supply Chain tool gives all companies, whether big or small, the ability to record and store their records for quick and easy access ensuring enhanced transparency, trust and traceability.
